The drive of the long belt is very different from the ordinary belt:
Ordinary belt drive devices generally use a single drive, low-voltage motor, head wheel as the drive roller, and the down belt conveyor can use the tail wheel as the drive roller.
The driving of long belts is generally double or multi-drive, and most of them are high-voltage motors. Considering the arrangement space and convenient maintenance, the driving device can be arranged on the ground below the belt conveyor, close to the head or tail of the belt conveyor, facilitating the adjacent belt conveyor. Centralized power supply, the head and tail wheels are only used as reversing rollers.
The belt conveyor turning device reverses the conveyor belt that has bypassed the head roller with its working surface facing up without contacting the lower roller. Before turning around the tail roller, it can be turned over and reset, which can avoid the scraping of the residue on the conveyor belt to the ground when the lower roller is in contact with the working surface of the conveyor belt, thereby saving the manual cleaning workload. In the long belt arrangement, it is necessary to consider the arrangement space of each set of turning devices in the head and tail of the long belt, and each turning device needs about 30m~40m and is to be closed.
The function of the tensioning device is to tension the conveyor belt to provide the working tension required to ensure normal operation, while also compensating for the elastic elongation of the conveyor belt.
The tensioning device of the long-distance belt conveyor is mainly determined by the force exerted by the belt running direction and the arrangement space of the surrounding space. There are many types of choices, such as: fixed winch tensioning, self-controlled hydraulic tensioning, double hammer tensioning, heavy hammer type (fixed sheave type, tower sheave type) tensioning and combined tensioning.
